photoblog image Big Ben

Big Ben

It was a hot sunny day and for some parts, not a cloud in the sky. Couldn't resist taking a shot at perhaps one of the most famous towers in the world, Big Ben.

It appears the restoration of the clock I watched on TV some months back went really well. the tower looks as good as ever.

You've caught that really well, wailor. The sun has picked out the gold in a single face. Lousy time of day for photography though, especially in summer. Even so, nicely positioned with the only cloud of the day?

I have a similar one if you'd like to see it at: http://chunter.shutterchance.com/photoblog/831.htm. I was fortunate to be there when the light was quite flattering.

Don't ask me why my comment appeared twice. It failed with a timeout the first time and didn't appear to be there, so I sent it again and - hey presto! - two identical posts. Sorry!
